freelance.com - Il est temps de travailler autrement

I’m choosing the model: freelance/direct or freelance/corp

Option 1 freelance/direct: I manage the applications myself

How does the freelance/direct system on freelance.com work?

The freelance/direct model puts the contractors (freelancers) into direct contact with the employers (businesses). This model is completely free (posting of job offers and consultation of CVs) – you only have to pay when actually contacting somebody.

Is it free to look at applications under the freelance/direct model?

Yes, only once you have made actual contact with your contractor, will you be charged.

Do I have to post a job offer before I can view the profiles of freelancers?

Yes, you have to register and post an offer in order to have access to the list of profiles, but the registration process is free and quick to complete!

On freelance.com, can you find contractors who are working abroad?

Yes, our base is international. Foreign contractors are subject to the legal conditions of the country in which they are working.

How can I be certain that the freelance.com database is up-to-date?

Contractors who are registered on the site regularly update their profiles, and it is not possible for a contractor to respond to a job offer if their profile isn’t sufficiently complete. In addition, the contractors receive automatic reminders when their profile hasn’t been updated for the last 120 days.

Option 2, freelance/corp. I contact freelance.com and ask them to manage the applications.

What is freelance/corp.?

This is the founding business model of freelance.com, proven for over 15 years, and one which has managed more than 20,000 jobs and given satisfaction to many customers (including many companies on the CAC 40). Under the freelance/corp model, the employers ask one of our Business Managers to identify, select and continuously monitor the tasks entrusted to the contractors. Freelance.com offers a whole range of services which allow you to monitor each stage of the job as well as the administrative and financial aspects. Please see also the webpages freelance/corp.

What is a Business Manager?

They are experts and senior consultants specializing in recruitment (independent contractors, contractors working under an umbrella scheme or recruitment of employees), with extensive technical or functional expertise. They assess the needs of the client, undertake the search for the right contractor, validate them and then support the contractor in their relationship with the client. The freelance.com Business Managers represent the commercial and HR interface between the client (employer) who has requested a service, and the freelance contractors who provide the service. Are the Business Mangers HR specialists? Do they have the specific skills necessary for the fields of IT or marketing?

We have more than 70 Business Managers, all of whom are expert, senior consultants who specialize in the fields of IT , IT consultancy, marketing, communications or procurement.

Can a Business Manager look after all the administrative and financial tasks associated with a job?

Under the freelance/corp model, freelance.com will use both the Business Managers and an administrative team to completely take charge of all aspects of the job. Under the freelance/direct model, you must manage all of that directly with the contractor.

Am I able to choose the Business Manager who seems to me to be the most suitable for meeting my needs and in terms of their skills?

Absolutely, choose the one who best fits your criteria! Some corporate customers already have a working relationship with a Business Manager . You can also contact us on contact@freelance.com and we will recommend a Business Manager for you.

Will the Business Manager intervene in the case of dispute between the contractor and my company?

Under the freelance/direct model it is up to you to regulate any possible differences you may have with the contractor.

Under the freelance/corp model, the Business Manager will support you with all phases of your job, including taking on the role of mediator and facilitator with the contractor. Furthermore, the legal department of freelance.com will ensure control of all stages and will intervene if necessary, adapting their response to each individual situation.

In instances of dispute, will the intervention of the Business Manager be billed additionally?

No, this is just one of the many extra benefits you can enjoy under the freelance/corp model
